The Trial Watch Project

Trial Watch is a Project of TRIAL (Track Impunity Always – Swiss Association against Impunity).

Trial Watch offers to a large public easy access to numerous criminal proceedings in the field of international criminal law (essentially concerning genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and torture), which took place (or are taking place) in national or international courts.

Appart from short description of the facts underlying the processes, the site also offers abstracts of the legal proceedings and links to important documents(judgments, NGO reports, bibliographies, etc.), thus serving as a starting point for furter in-depth studies of the cases.

The advanced search option facilitates research with specific filters such as contexts and judgment places, type of crimes, procedural aspects and other themes.

The team behind Trial Watch is mainly composed of volunteers: Researchers, editors, translators, IT technicians and web designers have been working hundreds of hours to make this site appealing and useful.

Trial Watch has been granted financial support    by the City of Geneva in order to facilitate its launch.

Trial Watch in 2005 has been granted financial   support by the Loterie Romande in order to render   possible the further development of the project.
