Croatia

In November 200, a Croatian war criminal, wanted for crimes against humanity, was arrested at the Zurich-Kloten airport, and later extradited to Croatie. She had been convicted there in 1998 for her role in the attack of a village, during which 43 civilians were forced to come out of their houses and either shot dead or run over by military vehicules. She was sentenced to 20 years of prison.

During the night from 16 to 17 November 2005, at the border post of Nickelsdorf (Austria), a Croat citizen, aged 48, with a resident status in Switzerland was arrested after a quick check of his identity papers, because an international arrest warant for genocide had been issued against him.
