Branislav Medic was arrested in June 2005, days after the video footage was shown at the trial of former Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic at The Hague. The Prosecutor brought charges against him and four other indictees (Medic’s brothers Slobodan and Aleksandar, Pero Petrasevic and Aleksandar Vukov, see „related cases“) in October 2005.
Branislav Medic’s co-defendant Petrasevic testified that Medic had been at the scene of the crime „all the time“.
Medic was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by the Serbian War Crimes Court on 10 April 2007 for violation of the customs of war.
